Dorweiler build
A black limba body capped with quilted maple and shaded into a tobacco burst, so the figure stays bright through the center and disappears into black at the edges. The pickups are Wilkinson P90s wearing birdseye maple covers cut to match the birdseye fretboard — the two warmest points on an otherwise dark guitar. The position markers are rosewood dots I turned in the shop, dark against the pale board instead of the usual pearl. Underneath is a 13-piece laminate neck of roasted maple, wenge, and mahogany on a 25.5" scale, with Hipshot tuners, a Wilkinson bridge, chrome relic knobs, and a nitro finish.
The photos and specifications above cover the materials, hardware, and details that went into this guitar.
